About the FUSA
The Fountain University Students’ Association (FUSA) is the central body representing the collective interests, welfare, and aspirations of all students of Fountain University. It serves as the official link between the student community and the University administration, ensuring that student voices are heard and that campus life remains vibrant, inclusive, and progressive.
Our operations
Arms of Goverment
FUSA operates through three main arms of government:
- The Students’ Central Executive Council (SCEC): This is the executive body and
the main actor of the Association. It is responsible for implementing student policies, coordinating programs, managing student affairs, and driving initiatives that align with the vision and mission of the University. - The Students’ Representatives Congress (SRC): This is the legislative body of the association. It makes, reviews, and amends student laws, provides oversight on executive activities, and ensures transparency and accountability within the
Association. - The Students’ Judicial Council (SJC): This serves as the judiciary body of the Association. It interprets the FUSA Constitution, settles internal disputes, and ensures justice and fairness in all student matters.
All three bodies function under the umbrella of FUSA, working in harmony to uphold
discipline, representation, and student welfare.
Agencies and committees
FUSA also oversees several agencies and committees that contribute to its administrative and developmental goals. These include:
- LOP (League of Presidents): Council made up of the Executive President of FUSA and the departmental association presidents, serving as a leadership forum to foster collaboration between departments and the central administration.
- UCJ-FUSA (Union of Campus Journalists): The official student press body.
- College Ambassadors: Serving as high commissioners and representatives of their respective colleges.
- FUSA Efficiency Committee: Responsible for monitoring the execution of policies and ensuring effectiveness in governance.
- Public Relations Committee: Managing communication, publicity, and student engagement.
- Regulatory Committee: Overseeing compliance with Association guidelines and
constitutional provisions. - Welfare Committee: Focused on improving the living and learning conditions of students.
Together, these organs, departments, and agencies make FUSA the heartbeat of student governance at Fountain University, a structure built on service, accountability, and the pursuitof excellence.
Students’ Central Executive Council (SCEC)
The Students’ Central Executive Council (SCEC) is the executive arm and main governing body of the Fountain University Students’ Association (FUSA). It is responsible for implementing student policies, coordinating programs, and representing the interests of all Fountain students.
Led by the Executive President, the SCEC works to promote accountability, unity, and purposeful leadership ensuring that student governance remains active, transparent, and impactful across the university community.
Students’ Representatives Congress (SRC)
The Students’ Representatives Congress (SRC) is the legislative arm of the Fountain University Students’ Association (FUSA). It serves as the policy-making and oversight body, ensuring that the actions of the Executive Council reflect the needs and interests of the entire student community.
Comprising representatives from all departments, the SRC debates and passes motions, reviews student laws, and upholds accountability within FUSA. Through dialogue and legislation, it strengthens participatory governance and ensures that every Fountain student has a voice in the decisions that shape their university experience.
Students’ Judicial Council (SJC)
The Students’ Judicial Council (SJC) is the judicial arm of the Fountain University Students’ Association (FUSA). It upholds justice, fairness, and due process within the Association by interpreting the FUSA Constitution and adjudicating internal disputes among students and student bodies.
Guided by integrity and impartiality, the SJC ensures that every student’s rights are protected and that leadership and conduct across the Association align with the principles of equity, accountability, and discipline.

The Union of Campus Journalists (UCJ-FUSA) provides a platform for responsible journalism, creative writing, and media engagement among students.
College Ambassadors
The College Ambassadors serve as high commissioners and representatives of their respective colleges under the FUSAstructure.
FUSA Efficiency Committe
The FUSA Efficiency Committee is responsible for monitoring the execution of Association policies and ensuring the effectiveness of student governance.
Broadcasting Committee
The Broadcasting Committee manages the image and communication strategy of FUSA. It handles publicity, media relations, and student engagement, ensuring that information about programs, events, and policies.
Regulatory Committee
The Regulatory Committee oversees compliance with the ensures that all organs and agencies of the Association function within approved frameworks and maintain high standards of discipline, ethics, and accountability.
