On Wednesday, April 8, 2026, the Fountain University Student Association (FUSA) constitution was formally signed at the College of Arts and Education, marking a significant milestone in student governance at Fountain University.
In attendance of the signing ceremony were honourable members of the SRC, members of SCEC, and the Dean of Student Affairs, represented by the Sub-Dean, Dr. Olatunji.
In his opening remarks, Dr. Olatunji stressed the importance of unity among student leaders. “I urge all members of the SRC to work hand in hand to ensure that this constitution works in favour of all students and is duly followed,” he said.
Also speaking at the event, the SCEC President, Rtr. Hameed Osuolale, described the development as a major step for the student body. “The drafting, enactment, and signing of this constitution represents a significant step forward for the Fountain University Students’ Association,” he stated.
The constitution was subsequently signed by key stakeholders, including Dr. Olatunji on behalf of the Dean of Student Affairs, Rtr. Hameed Osuolale, the SRC Speaker, Hon. Muhammed Abdulrahman, and the SRC Clerk, Hon. Adesina Sururoh.
The event ended with a renewed commitment from all parties to uphold the provisions of the constitution and ensure effective student representation within the university.
